Party season is officially here - which means Christmas parties, dinners, drinks and probably a few later nights than usual.

It also means more perfume, hairspray, makeup, fake tan and everything else that comes with getting ready. Whether it’s your everyday Nap Stack, favourite hoops or the necklace you never take off, a few simple tips can help keep your jewellery looking its best throughout party season and beyond.

Give a little buff after your lotions 

Makeup done, perfume sprayed, hair finally cooperating? Now it’s time for the jewellery.

Products like perfume, hairspray, lotions and makeup can build up on your jewellery over time and leave it looking a little duller than usual. Don’t panic, a simple buff will bring back the shine, and lotions won’t tarnish your pieces. Just make sure you give them a little wipe before you head out so the product doesn’t build up. 

Wipe after tanning 

We love a party-season glow but but lots of fake tan can collect around chains, clasps and smaller details, so try to apply your tan before putting your jewellery on, or if you are in a rush (we know the feeling) make sure you give it a wipe after. 

If a little tan or makeup does make its way onto your jewellery, don’t panic, our pieces are designed to withstand daily life, so give it a little rinse and you are good to go. 

Keep it shining
